| Paris Mountain Turtle Ride |
C'mon. You know you've always wanted to try it. (Or wanted to do it faster next time.) Here's your chance. We leave at 8:30 most Friday mornings from the circle in front of Taylors Elementary School.
The route is an out-and-back, so if you get tired partway up, no problem, just stop and rest and we'll catch up to you coming back down. Pace will be somewhere between leisurely and outright sluglike, so fear not and come on out. If you're faster you've always got the option of shooting on up ahead and seeing how many times you can make it up and back in the time it takes yours truly to do one. Approximately 14 miles total.
Please note that the front parking lot gate at Taylors Elementary may be closed: just drive around the block to the back. (Facing the front, drive to the right till you get to the store on the corner. Turn left there and go a couple hundred yards. You will see the back entrance to the school on your left. DON'T PARK ON THE CIRCLE WHEN THE SCHOOL IS IN SESSION. You will get a ticket. Park in the lot.
Please bring a park pass or $2 for the park gate.

(Apologies for poor photo quality; this was taken with my cell phone. Bring your camera and I'll use that for yours!)
Those of you who've already been and didn't get your photo taken: well, you'll just have to come back now, won't you? =)
